In 'Ed Stafford's Rite of Passage', Ed pushes himself beyond the survival and exploration he's known for to seek out and partake in the toughest, most dangerous, and most rigorous rites of passage in the world. By embedding himself in six traditional tribal cultures in Africa, Latin America and East Asia, and personally taking part in the often-outrageous coming-of-age feats faced by the tribes' members, Ed hopes to discover if these ancient practices could hold the key to understanding what it means to be a better part of our communities in the modern world.
